Hi, I’m Nicola. I am a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling & Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP).

It is my goal to create a safe, empathic, non-judgmental space for you to explore your challenges and openly express your thoughts and feelings. I will work collaboratively with you to develop an authentic, trusting relationship, and focus on whatever goals are most important to you. By helping you deepen your awareness, identify your strengths, and develop your skills, I am committed to supporting your growth and your ability to create positive change in your life.

My approach is holistic, integrative, and individually tailored to meet your specific needs. I draw from a range of therapeutic modalities including acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), solution-focused therapy (SFBT), narrative therapy, emotionally focused therapy (EFT), the Gottman Method, and mindfulness-based practices. I embrace diversity and apply an anti-oppression, culturally-affirming lens to my therapeutic approach.

My main areas of support include anxiety, depression, life transitions and adjustment, stress/burnout, self-esteem, relationship issues, coping with illness, trauma, and grief.

I am also a Certified Professional Coach (ACC) and member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF) with a speciality in resilience building.

I provide individual and couples services in English to adults (18+) and seniors.
