Psychotherapy is a talk-based, collaborative, and supportive process that occurs through a strong therapeutic relationship between therapist and client and is designed to help create positive change in a client's thinking, feeling, behaviour, and social functioning. Nicola is a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling & Psychotherapy Association (CCPA), and holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP).

My hope is to offer a space where you can breathe a little easier—a place where you can share freely, reflect deeply, and feel supported every step of the way. I’m committed to creating a warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental environment where you can be yourself and explore what’s really going on beneath the surface. Together, we’ll build a genuine, trusting connection and focus on what feels most meaningful to you, helping you deepen your self-awareness, embrace your strengths, and start to create lasting, positive change in your life.

My approach is holistic, integrative, and individually tailored to meet your specific needs. I draw from a range of therapeutic modalities including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFBT), Narrative Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), the Gottman Method, and mindfulness-based practices. I embrace diversity and apply an anti-oppression, culturally-affirming lens to my therapeutic approach with all clients.

My main areas of support include anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, stress/burnout, self-esteem issues, trauma, grief, and coping with pain and/or health challenges.

I am also a Certified Professional Coach (ACC) and member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF) with a speciality in resilience building.

I provide services to individuals and couples in English and work with adults (18+) and seniors.
